A few days ago there was leaked art of the new Call of Duty suggesting that it would be set in World War II. That is indeed true with new confirmation. Call of Duty's sales dropped significantly between the release of Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare. It is said that they want to return to their roots and I think they took their chance after the sales drop. The games Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: World at War were also set in World War II. I think that we may see a potential similarity to the Modern Warfare series and World at War.
