PikawattReviews - Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Hey guys, welcome to another review and today we'll focus on the trending topic of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. There has been controversy on how good of a movie it is and I'm here to give you guys my honest review, so lets jump into it!

1. Setting (Planets)
Above we have footage of the new planet from the movie. This was confirmed as a planet we in fact have not seen before. This, if you don't know already, is known as "Crait". Crait is described as a mining planet and the red minerals coming out are salt, or at least salty as confirmed by a fellow rebel.

The planet also is an old rebel base where the  Resistance is forced to go and take refuge. This may be an iconic planet to remember because it is possible to return and because a valuable event takes place there. You can also experience the colorful planet on the new Star Wars Battlefront II where it make its place as an amazing DLC.

2. Characters
In terms of character development, I loved the movie. I do think they could've done better with Finn and Rose's character development. We find a repetitive element of revenge when he faces Phasma again and on Crait. Also the story of Rose is similar to Finn's in Episode 7. We see a bit of development but not too much about her history. We know that she has a history with the casino planet and the creatures among it. But we also see her develop and later knocked-out similar to what was done to Finn in episode 7.

Of course the continuation of Luke's character is amazing and the flashbacks to when he taught Ben. Also the sudden start of "the jedi must end" is explored. A little hint for that part, if you haven't seen it, make sure to recall his old teacher who makes a surprise appearance.

3. Storyline
Of course they followed through with the storyline well. And I loved it. The only thing is we never saw Snoke's history but we know Kylo wasn't his first apprentice. If you guys have any theories as to who Snoke may have been make sure to leave a comment.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy(ed) the movie! Stay #PikaPerfect!
